Top-Grade Powder

Ski-in, ski-out at Wanda Changbaishan — top-tier powder snow rivaling Hokkaido, you won't want to stop.

♨️

Onsen in the Snow

Steaming private baths at Zaizhihe while snow drifts down outside — the ultimate hot-cold contrast.

🦌

Xueling Fairy Tale

Feed reindeer, ride a snowmobile, glide on a horse-drawn sleigh — every frame looks like a movie still.

🎣

Ice-Lake Winter Fishing

Cut the ice and lower the nets with a seasoned 'laobatou', then a steaming iron-pot stew on the heated kang.

Eight Days, Two Cities, One Snowfall

A private onsen steaming in falling snow, a snowmobile roaring into the forest, the age-old ritual of cutting the ice to haul in a net full of fish — the experiences that usually demand a flight to Scandinavia or Japan can all be had on one domestic China trip. Changchun’s city ice-and-snow and Changbai’s top-grade powder link seamlessly across eight days and seven nights: a palace of history and towering ice sculptures, ski-in slopes, misty forest hot springs, and a fairy-tale snow ridge ringed by reindeer.

Day 1: Fly into Changchun · Start at the Bathhouse

Fly direct from Hong Kong (about 3.5 hours), then a private car and guide bring you to the Hyatt Changchun in about 50 minutes. By night, go straight to the soul of the northeast — the bathhouse: soak, scrub, feast and chat, and feel local in an instant.

Day 2: A Changchun Day of Ice & Fire

Step into the Puppet Emperor’s Palace in the morning — one building, half a century of Republican drama. In the afternoon, a 50-minute drive brings you to Changchun Ice & Snow New World, where towering ice sculptures rise as the lights ignite after dark. Back in your warm Changchun nest for the night.

Day 3: Into the Mountains · Play Before You Stay

After breakfast, board the G3529 high-speed rail (08:19–11:00) to Changbaishan West, then head straight to the century-old mountain village of Jinjiang: cut paper window flowers with a master craftsman and bite into candied hawthorn chilled crisp in the snow. Check into the Hyatt/Park Hyatt Wanda by evening — slopes right outside your door.

Day 4: A Full Day of Free Skiing

No early start, no rushing — the slopes are literally at your door. Beginners book an instructor, experts charge the powder. For dinner, sizzling volcanic-stone barbecue with an ice-cold beer rounds off a perfect day.

Day 5: Ice-Lake Fishing · On to Erdaobaihe

This morning holds your only chance at ice-lake winter fishing — a ‘laobatou’ leads the ice-cutting and net-hauling — followed by a steaming iron-pot stew on the heated kang at a local home. Then transfer to Erdaobaihe and the Zaizhihe resort, where the afternoon belongs to the outdoor private onsen.

Day 6: A Fairy-Tale Day at Xueling

The Xueling triple play — a snowmobile roaring into the forest, reindeer gathering around you for wall-worthy photos, and a horse-drawn sleigh drifting downhill like a fairy tale. Back at the hotel, another soak seals the day.

Day 7: Mojie Drifting · UTV Forest Safari

Drift through Mojie in the early mist, rime frost lining both banks like a fairy realm; in the afternoon, take a UTV into the birch woods and tear across the snowfields. A final onsen soothes you into the last night.

Day 8: Homeward Bound, Hearts Full

After breakfast, board the C1305 high-speed rail (09:46–11:58) back to Changchun Longjia — an 800-metre walk (10–15 min) to the airport, no tedious transfers — and fly HU7915 (15:40–20:30) home to Hong Kong, ending an 8-day, 7-night winter escape.

What’s Included

Eight days and seven nights of a private car and guide, seven nights across the Hyatt Changchun, Hyatt/Park Hyatt Wanda and Zaizhihe, Puppet Emperor’s Palace and Ice & Snow New World tickets, round-trip high-speed rail between Changchun and Changbai Mountain, and the winter fishing, Xueling triple play, Mojie drifting and UTV forest safari experiences. Flights, trains and ski logistics — all handled, so the days stay as relaxed as a hot spring in the snow.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are the Hong Kong direct flights fixed?

The reference flights HU7916/HU7915 operate on Tuesdays and Saturdays only (about 3.5h). For other dates we can arrange connecting or transit options without changing the trip length.

Do I need to bring my own ski gear?

Equipment rental and instructors are available inside the Wanda resort, and complete beginners can start from zero. We can pre-arrange rentals and coaching for you.

Is it suitable for children or elderly travelers?

Yes — the whole journey runs on private car and guide at a relaxed pace, with different difficulty options across skiing, onsen and snow play, so every age finds something.

Are activities like winter fishing and drifting available every day?

Winter fishing is usually limited to the Wanda area and seasonal; Mojie drifting and Xueling are weather- and road-dependent. We flex the schedule weekly and keep you informed.
